The Bu. app uses session and local-storage technologies on your device rather than browser cookies, but the principle is the same: a small amount of information is stored so the service can work properly.

On their own, these are just small pieces of stored information. What matters is what they are used for. This page explains exactly what Bu. uses them for.
Why Bu. uses cookies
The Bu. app uses essential session and local-storage technologies. The Bu. website may use cookies or similar browser-storage technologies. Both are used for a small number of specific purposes:
Authentication and session management. Without these technologies, Bu. would not know who you are from one session to the next. You would have to sign in every single time you opened the app.

Types of cookies Bu. uses
Essential cookies
These are necessary for Bu. to function. Without them, core features like signing in, accessing your account, and using the platform simply would not work.

Bu. does not use these technologies for advertising. Bu. does not use cookies or similar technologies for behavioural advertising or cross-site advertising tracking. Bu. does not sell personal data.
Additional care for users under 18. Bu. does not build advertising profiles on any user, and applies that principle with particular care to users under 18.
These technologies exist to make the service work and to keep it secure. Not to monetise your behaviour or your data.
Third-party services
Bu. uses third-party service providers to operate the platform. These are described in our Privacy Policy. Most of these operate on Bu.'s servers rather than placing cookies or similar technologies on your device.
Where you interact directly with a third-party service, that service may use its own cookies or similar technologies. This includes signing in with Apple or Google, and purchases made through the Apple App Store. Those technologies are governed by that provider's own policies.
