The short version
Bu. does not sell your personal information. Bu. does not share your personal information for advertising purposes. This page explains what that means, why it matters, and what rights California residents have under state privacy law.
Why this page exists
The California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), gives California residents specific privacy rights when dealing with businesses subject to the law. Bu. provides this page to explain our practices and how California residents can submit privacy requests. Where the CCPA applies to Bu., we will honour the rights required by that law.
Bu. is operated by Neriyas LTD. This page exists to make our position clear, explain what these terms mean under California law, and tell you how to exercise your rights if you are a California resident.
If you are not based in California, the information here still reflects how Bu. handles personal information for all users. The principles are the same wherever you are.
What "sell" and "share" mean under California law
Under California law, these words have specific legal meanings that are broader than you might expect.
"Sell" means disclosing personal information to a third party in exchange for money or other valuable consideration.
"Share" means disclosing personal information to a third party for the purpose of cross-context behavioural advertising. This means using your information to show you targeted advertising based on your activity across different websites, apps, or services.
These definitions matter because some companies technically avoid "selling" data in the traditional sense while still sharing it with advertising networks in ways that California law treats as equivalent.
Our position in plain English
Bu. does not sell your personal information. Not to advertisers. Not to data brokers. Not to brands. Not to anyone.
Bu. does not share your personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising. Bu. has no advertising platform. Bu. does not work with ad networks. Bu. does not pass your information to third parties so they can show you targeted advertising based on your activity on Bu. or elsewhere.
Bu.'s business model is based on Stars and Bu. Plus rather than advertising or the sale of personal information. This is not a position we adopted because a law required it. It is how Bu. was built from the beginning.
What Bu. does share, and why
Bu. works with a small number of trusted service providers to operate the platform. These include:
Supabase, which provides Bu.'s authentication, database, and storage infrastructure.
OpenAI and fal.ai, which provide content moderation, AI styling and visual analysis, and AI outfit image generation.
Apple and Google, which provide sign-in and, in Apple's case, process App Store purchases including Stars and Bu. Plus.
Bu. uses these providers to operate and deliver the service. We do not disclose personal information to them for cross-context behavioural advertising, and we do not provide personal information to them in exchange for money or other valuable consideration as a way of monetising user data. These providers process information under their applicable agreements and privacy obligations, and where appropriate under Bu.'s instructions.
Bu. does not share your personal information with advertisers, marketing platforms, data brokers, or any third party for commercial purposes unrelated to operating the service.
California residents — your rights
Where the CCPA applies, California residents have the following rights:
The right to know. You can ask Bu. what personal information we have collected about you, where it came from, what it is used for, and who it has been shared with.
The right to delete. You can ask Bu. to delete the personal information we hold about you, subject to certain exceptions.
The right to correct. You can ask Bu. to correct inaccurate personal information we hold about you.
The right to opt out of sale or sharing. You can tell Bu. not to sell or share your personal information. As explained on this page, Bu. does not currently sell or share personal information for advertising purposes, so exercising this right will not change how your information is handled. But the right exists and we respect it.
The right to limit use of sensitive personal information. California law gives you the right to limit how sensitive personal information is used. Bu. does not use sensitive personal information for purposes beyond what is necessary to provide the service.
The right to non-discrimination. Bu. will not treat you differently, charge you more, or provide you with a worse service because you exercised any of your California privacy rights.
How to submit a California privacy request
You can submit a privacy rights request by email.
Email: contact@buapp.info
Subject line: California Privacy Request
Please include enough information to help us identify your account where necessary, such as your Bu. username or the email address associated with your Apple or Google account, and a description of the right you want to exercise. For example: access request, deletion request, correction request, or opt-out request.
Bu. does not charge a fee for California privacy rights requests.
For requests to know, delete, or correct, where the CCPA applies, Bu. will respond within the timeframes required by law. We may take reasonable steps to verify your identity before fulfilling those requests.
Requests to opt out of sale or sharing, or to limit applicable uses of sensitive personal information, are handled within the shorter timeframe required by California law. We do not require identity verification simply to submit an opt-out request, although we may ask for basic information needed to identify the relevant personal information.

Trust is not a legal obligation
Some companies put pages like this up because they have to. We are putting this page up because we think you deserve a clear answer.
Bu. does not sell your data. Bu. does not share your data with advertisers. Bu. was designed around a business model based on Stars and subscriptions, not monetising the personal information of the people who use it. That is a deliberate choice, and this page is how we make it visible.
If you have a question about how your information is handled that this page has not answered, we are here.
