Style is for everyone. So is Bu.
Self-expression should not have barriers. The ability to explore your identity, discover your aesthetic, and build something creative should be available to as many people as possible, regardless of how they experience the world or what tools they use to access it.
That is the principle behind how we think about accessibility at Bu. It is not a compliance exercise. It is part of building something that genuinely serves the people who use it. Bu. is operated by Neriyas LTD.
Our commitment
Bu. is committed to making the platform as accessible as we can for as many people as possible.
That includes people with visual impairments, hearing differences, motor disabilities, cognitive differences, neurodivergence, or any other condition that affects how they interact with technology. It includes people who use assistive technologies like screen readers, voice control, or keyboard navigation. It includes people on older devices, slower connections, or non-standard screen sizes.
We will not always get this right immediately. Bu. is an early-stage platform and we are actively building and improving it. But accessibility is something we take seriously from the beginning, not something we plan to bolt on later.
What we aim to support
We are working toward a platform experience that includes:
Clear, readable language. Bu.'s interface is designed to communicate simply and directly. We avoid unnecessary jargon and try to make every instruction, label, and piece of copy as easy to understand as possible.
Simple, consistent navigation. We try to keep the structure of Bu. predictable. Buttons do what they say they will do. Layouts are consistent across screens. Users should be able to build a mental model of the app without having to relearn it constantly.
Screen reader support. We aim to structure Bu.'s interface in a way that works with screen readers where technically possible. This is an ongoing area of work as the platform grows.
Keyboard accessibility. Where applicable, we aim to support navigation and interaction without relying solely on touch or a pointing device.
Sufficient colour contrast. Text and interface elements are designed to be readable against their backgrounds. We pay attention to contrast ratios to ensure the platform is usable for people with low vision or colour vision differences.
Responsive layouts. Bu. is designed to work across a range of devices and screen sizes. Whether you are using a phone, tablet, or other device, the experience should adapt appropriately.
Clear buttons and interactions. Interactive elements are designed to be identifiable and easy to use. We try to make sure that buttons, links, and actions are clearly labelled and behave consistently.
Accessibility is ongoing work
Accessibility is not something you finish. It is something you keep working on.
Bu. is a growing platform. New features are added, existing ones are updated, and the overall experience evolves over time. Each of those changes is an opportunity to get accessibility right, and also a risk of introducing something that does not work as well as it should for everyone.
We aim to consider accessibility as part of building and updating Bu. When we find something that is not working well, we work to fix it. When something new is built, we try to build it with accessibility in mind from the start rather than treating it as an afterthought.
We are honest about the fact that we will not always succeed immediately. Bu. is an early-stage product and there are areas we are still improving. What we can commit to is taking accessibility seriously and continuing to make progress.
Tell us if something is not working
If you encounter an accessibility barrier on Bu., we genuinely want to hear about it.
This includes anything that makes the platform difficult or impossible for you to use. A button that does not work with a screen reader. Text that is hard to read. A flow that cannot be completed without a specific type of interaction. An image that is missing a description. Anything that creates an obstacle between you and being able to use Bu. fully.
Accessibility feedback does not need to be technically detailed. You do not need to know the name of the specific standard we may have missed or the exact reason something is not working. Just tell us what you were trying to do and what went wrong. That is enough for us to investigate and improve.
We take accessibility feedback seriously. It is not treated as a lower-tier support request.
Get in touch
- General accessibility enquiries and feedback: contact@buapp.info
- Urgent support issues: support@buapp.info
Please include as much detail as you can about what you were trying to do, what device and assistive technology you were using, and what happened. The more context you give us, the faster we can look into it.
We aim to respond to accessibility enquiries as promptly as possible.
A note on accessibility standards
We are working toward meeting recognised accessibility standards and guidelines, including the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG). We do not claim full compliance at this stage because Bu. is actively being developed and there are areas we are still improving.
What we do commit to is continuing to work toward better accessibility across the platform, taking user feedback seriously, and treating accessibility as an ongoing responsibility rather than a one-time task.
For everyone
Bu. exists to help people discover who they are through style. That mission only makes sense if it is genuinely open to everyone.
Identity does not belong to people who happen to have a specific set of abilities or who use technology in a specific way. Self-expression is not a feature reserved for certain users. Creativity is not limited to the people for whom every platform already works perfectly.
We want Bu. to be a place where anyone who cares about style and identity can feel like the platform was built with them in mind. We are not there yet in every respect. But it is where we are heading, and we are committed to the work it takes to get there.
If you want to be part of that, whether as a user, a tester, or someone with expertise in accessibility who wants to help us improve, we would love to hear from you.
